Singapore Airlines Launch Flights to Myanmar

Singapore Airlines (SIA) will be operating flights to Yangon, Myanmar from 28 October. Both Singapore Airlines and the regional airline of SIA, Silk Air will be operating flights to the capital city of Myanmar- Yangon. Currently Silk Air operates 16 flights weekly and will continue with nine flights with SIA joining.

The flagship carrier of Singapore will be catering to a growing travel market in Myanmar with the latest political reforms. Myanmar has undergone major changes after years of isolation from the military government. The economy of Myanmar also foresees major changes starting with the currency floating. At the same time, demand for business travel and leisure travel is growing and extremely popular.
