Sri Lankan Airlines’ Flies One-Millionth Tourist

The national carrier of Sri Lanka welcomes the one-millionth tourist from Beijing, China on 30 December 2012.

Ms Jiang Ying along with her spouse becomes the millionth traveller in Sri Lankan airlines. They arrived to Colombo by Sri Lankan Airiness UL 889 at 22 00 hours.

The airline operates a total of 17 flights to destinations in China including Beijing, Shanghai, Canton and Hong Kong. Focusing on the emerging markets of India and China, the airline has increased flight frequencies to both countries.

Sri Lankan Airlines has a network of 63 destinations worldwide thus operating across 34 countries. For future plans, the airline stated in developing its route to 70 destinations across 40 countries.
