Luxury Tourist Shuttle To Boost Buddhist Tourism In India

India is a popular destination among pilgrimages and Buddhist tourists. The Buddhist tourist circuit in India is expected to boost with the luxury shuttle service expanding its network.

The Mahaparinirvana Express will start operating services to Buddhist sites in the state of Odisha from 20 January 2013. The Luxury shuttle service was launched in 2007 for safe and reliable travel options for tourists and pilgrims alike.

Famous sights in Odisha will cover the Bhubaneswar, Lalitagiri, Khandagiri and Udayagiri. Boasting a great collection of stupas and dome-shaped shrines, Odisha is expecting to boost Buddhist tourism.

Currently, the Mahaparinirvana Express operates across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar covering the popular sights of Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Nalanda, Varanasi, Sarnath, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Lumbini and Sravasti.
