The national carrier of Spain, Iberia and American Airlines launched a codeshare agreement to include Iberia Express.
The agreement facilitates to sell flights to each other using their own code and flight number. The airlines received approval from the United States Department of Transportation. Flights are available for sale from 4 September for travel beginning 10 September.
As per the agreement, it allows American Airlines to place its code on Iberia Express services between Madrid and its 14 destinations in Europe. The cooperation is an opportunity to offer travellers a better connection to European and North American cities.
