Dubai Airport Unveils World’s First Airbus A-380 Concourse A

Dubai Airports and Emirates open the world’s first purpose-built facility for Airbus A 380 aircrafts – Concourse A to the public. Comprising 11 floors and total built up of 528,000 sq meters, Concourse A also features Emirates’ world class First Class and Business Class lounges, 20 A 380 capable contact gates. In addition, passengers are welcome to enjoy duty free shopping area and a Le Clos wine cellar.

Emirates as the largest operator of this aircraft in the world, the president of Emirates airline, Tim Clark proudly states the opening of the Concourse as one of the biggest milestone in the airline’s history. The CEO of Dubai Airports, Paul Griffiths provided a statement highlighting the importance of the USD 7.8 billion investment on Dubai International.

At present, the airline features a fleet of 31 Airbus A 380s and another 59 aircrafts on order.
