Bristol Airport revealed the newest routes to Hurghada and Frankfurt
  • Easyjet flights to the Egyptian resort set to operate twice a week throughout the winter.
  • Lufthansa plans to introduce direct flights from Bristol to Frankfurt Airport
  • Operations are set to be started on March 30, 2020

Bristol Airport announced that easyJet, one of the UK-based regional airlines has launched its first flight this week on a new route from Bristol to Hurghada. 

The new routes to the Egyptian resort will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the winter.

Bristol Airport also highlighted last week that Lufthansa will be introducing a new direct flight from Bristol to Frankfurt Airport very soon. Commencing its operations on March 30, 2020, the new service will operate twice daily, and six days per week. This new service is expected to be run year-round, with an Embraer 190 offering multiple onward travel connection from FRA throughout Europe, United States and the Asia Pacific.

easyJet’s UK Country Manager Ali Gayward, asserted: ‘We are delighted to be launching our first flight from Bristol to Hurghada today. As the largest airline at Bristol, we’re focused on strengthening our network and providing our customers in the South West with great value services by offering low fares, a convenient schedule and more choice when they travel.

Bristol Airport, Business Development Director, Nigel Scott said: ‘We are delighted to welcome the inaugural easyJet flight between Bristol to Hurghada. The destination opens up further choice and flexibility of flights available to passengers in the region selecting to fly from their local airport. This additional route demonstrates the long-term collaboration and joint growth strategy between easyJet and Bristol Airport.
