Virgin Increases Cancun Flights

The transatlantic carrier Virgin Atlantic ups flights to the popular beach destination Cancun. Currently the airline operates twice weekly to the Mexican coastal city. Due to unprecedented demand from British holidaymakers, the airline launched three direct flights from Gatwick to Cancun starting from 4 April 2013.

UK travellers are one of the biggest tourists markets for Cancun. It is one of the long haul beach destinations adored by Births holidaymakers. The pristine beaches, cultural venues, high-end shopping and excellent hotels make it an interesting travel destination.

The airlines states, more than 400,000 booking undertaken prior to the first flight in June. Virgin regards Cancun as one of the most successful launches and a lucrative air route. Since 2010, Virgin experiences a 11.6% increase in British holidays.
