Universal Orlando to open the fourth hotel – Cabana Bay Resort!

Universal Parks and Resorts has announced a new hotel opening. Universal Orlando together with Loews Hotels & Resorts schedules to open ‘Cabana Bay Resort’ in 2014.

The new hotel majorly focuses on value addition to families. According to the plans, the Cabana Bay Resort features 800 family suites accommodating 6 people and 800 guest rooms. The 1,800-room hotel will be the largest in at Universal Orlando.

The Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort is similar to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort by the catered market and size. However, the newly developing Cabana Bay Resort is positioned as a more affordable option for vacationers than the three hotels (1,000 room Royal Pacific Resort, 750 room Portofino Bay Hotel and 650 room Hard Rock hotel). The hotel also offers cheaper rates albeit with low amenities.

The resort comprises of a different theme than the rest of the three. Cabana Bay Resort themes with a vintage theme combined with periodic colours and neon touches.
