The Certificate of Excellence is awarded to hotels, restaurants and attractions that receive exceptional reviews and rating on TripAdvisor. However the criteria also include reviews and ratings of businesses during the past 12 months.
TripAdvisor awards are highly appreciated by travellers and raises credibility of both the businesses and the site. However, The Certificate of Excellence 2012 isn’t a replacement for TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice. It is an extension of the recognition program for establishments on TripAdvisor.
