The iconic landmark was officially inaugurated as a New 7 Wonders of Nature in Pretoria, Cape Town. As a part of public inauguration, the city features a free concert, Festive light celebration and unveils a plaque (inscription of Table Mountain).
Known as a mountain of many moods, the 1,086 m Table Mountain is the picturesque backdrop to the exciting city destination Cape Town, Africa. The mountain stretches from the north of Signal Hill to the south of Cape Point.
It was voted during the 2011 poll, which gained more than 100 million votes from all corners of the world. Thereby, the spectacular attraction joins the list as one of the seven wonders of nature in May 2012.
The Official New 7 Wonders of the Nature aims to create awareness of the rich biodiversity and the beauty of nature. Other confirmed sites include
