Siam Paragon (Bangkok) tops the Most Instagrammed locations in 2013

Life without social media is pretty much incomplete for virtually everyone.  While Facebook and Twitter has taken the world far ahead helping people connect and put their feelings out on a global platform, Instagram has been added to that list in the recent years, helping people connect to the rest of the world via memorable pictures and videos.

Instagram announced the “Most Instagrammed Places of 2013” based on its users’ favourite places to photo-filter. A popular spot, “Siam Paragon” in Bangkok tops the list of the Most Instagrammed locations in 2013 pushing Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International airport to the ninth place which was previously the number one in 2012. It is quite fascinating to know that Thais are some serious smartphone shutterbugs but this news is not that surprising. The Siam Paragon is a massive shopping mall and aquarium which is definitely worth a share on a global platform like Instagram.

However, the impressive fact is that the huge shopping mall overtook New York’s Times Square as well as Disneyland which certainly managed to take the second and third places on the list respectively. With the drastic increase in tourists visiting via budget flights to Bangkok, the city has been one of the most-visited destinations in the Asian continent.

Below is the full list of the Most Instagrammed locations of 2013 provided by Instagram:
