MAS Joins oneworld Alliance in 2013

The flagship carrier of Malaysia, Malaysian Airlines (MAS) joins and becomes a full member of the oneworld alliance effective in 2013 February. The delay in being the member is due to year-end seasonal promotions and flight schedules.

With the airline on board to one of the leading airline alliances, MAS has the privilege to tap on the range of conciliatory services to all passengers.

  • Frequent flyers are given the privilege of earning and redeeming mileage points including updating tier status
  • Passengers are able to fly and enjoy the services of oneworld member airlines including airberlin, Iberia, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair and the list continues with some 25 and more affiliated airlines
  • Malaysian Airlines First Class passengers, Business Class passengers, Enrich Platinum members and Gold members are able to access any of the 550 airport lounges worldwide

The airline also stated the importance of becoming a oneworld member by helping customers to enjoy a global service, interconnect with over 100+ destinations, plethora of services, benefits and arrangements with some of the renowned airlines worldwide.
