Air New Zealand initiated to cut airfares on regional routes to trigger tourism into regions. Regions selected showed strong record of accomplishment of tourism and potential for tourism growth.
In addition, the decision will generate interests from price sensitive leisure travellers and benefit regional travellers too. Some of the regions that benefit from airfare reductions are include Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Queenstown and Nelson. New fares will be available for travel plans form 15 October.
