A Design Tent at Helsinki Airport

The Finnish airport operator, Finavia, has opened a design exhibit at the Helsinki Airport, Iceland. The exhibition enables travellers to step in to a design tent to enjoy Finnish art and design. Located at Gate 11, the Design Gallery is entrance free to all passengers and open 24/7.

Anna Forsman is the person behind the exhibition, who claims responsibility for planning of the Airport Design Camp.

The Helsinki Airport Design Camp features an interactive exhibition of Finnish design products. Passengers can step inside the white tent, which portrays as a design forest. When visitors walk in to the design forest, they are welcome to the sounds of Finnish nature with bird chirpings, wanes hitting the shores and snow crunching underfoot.

Step out of the design forest to relax at the park benches or white painted timber tables. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of sunset through the window.  Visitors are provided with a piece of paper on the forest wall to pen their thoughts. There are an uncountable number of messages on the wall displaying the satisfaction and peace of mind.
