Holidaymakers can look forward to enjoy Marlon Brando’s Eco Hotel at the tranquil islands of Tahiti.

Marlon Brando fell in love with the serenity of the Tahiti islands while filming ‘Mutiny on the Bounty’. He purchased a mini archipelago consisting twelve islands known as Tetiaroa.

After much island hopping, Marlon Brando opened a hotel but abandoned his dreams after a family tragedy in 1990s. The tragedy where his son (Christian) killed the boyfriend (Dag Drollet) of Brando’s daughter (Cheyenne).

However, years after his death in 2004, the actor’s dreams are coming true. The eco resort, named as ‘The Brando’, will be open to the public in 2013. The island will comprise of 35 luxury villas with tropical amenities. The resort includes a spa, fitness centre, community pool, vegetable garden, apiary, orchard and many more recreational activities to amaze the vacationers.

Another noteworthy fact of the eco resort is 100% renewable utilising solar power, deep ocean water-cooling and coconut bio fuel.
