Inauguration of London’s newest attraction – Shard

Amidst the financial uncertainty and European crisis, London highlights a positive light with the inauguration of the newest icon to its skyline – Shard! Designed by the Italian architect – Renzo Piano, the glass building which is 1016 feet high is the tallest structure in Western Europe.

Although it fails to rise above the Burj Khalifa Tower in Dubai and fall short of height from New York’s Empire State Building. The most appealing feature of Shard is the observation deck from the 68th to 72nd floor. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the city of London with our cheap flights.

Opened with a dazzling show of lights and laser, crowds were gathered at various vantage points, roof tops and balconies to welcome the Shard. Make it to the top of the skyscraper to enjoy the views of London’s attractions with Travel Center UK.

Financially backed by an Arab investment, 95% of the Shard is owned by the Gulf State of Qatar. It’s the latest addition to London’s skyline.
