Britons can take their Holidays to Turkey without the COVID vaccine

Mehmet Ersoy, the Turkish Tourism minister, said the country is looking forward to welcoming British tourists to enjoy their holidays to Turkey as soon as the Covid-19 pandemic permits international travel from Britain this summer.

Expecting to receive visitors this summer without requiring evidence of vaccination. Additionally, Britons are not likely to take PCR tests and provide proof of a negative PCR test before taking their holidays to Turkey due to the UK’s rollout of the vaccine programme’s success.

He also said that British travellers who plan to go on holidays to Turkey would not need vaccination passports from international travellers when visiting the country. After April 15, the Turkish authorities will look at the number of cases again, re-evaluate the situation and then decide if they will continue to require negative PCR test results from British citizens entering the country.

However, unlike other European nations, the UK is a probable winner for vaccinating its population. Almost 24 million citizens have now received their first dose of the vaccine, while nearly 1.6 million have had their second dose.

Turkish Tourism minister stated that they have top-notch border processes to ensure travel will be low-risk throughout Turkey. He continued to say that visitors can enjoy safe and healthy holidays to Turkey at all stages of their trip and continue to invest in the ‘Safe Tourism Certification Program’ launched in 2020.

This year, they have increased the expanse and made it compulsory for hotels and other accommodation facilities with 30 rooms or more and more than 8,000 facilities have been certified thus far.

All certified hotels under the scheme will provide testing facilities for visitors to obtain test results before departing Turkey for the UK. The tests cost approximately €30 and will be available at the international airports in Turkey.

Before the Global pandemic caused a shutdown international travel, Turkey welcomed more than 2.5 million British nationals in 2019. This year, if all goes according to plan, there can expect a significant rise in the Turkish tourist industry.
