The UK national carrier, British Airways (BA) plans to offer iPads to 3,600 pilots. This is an action taken to increase the operational efficiency as well as improve customer service.
The airline has invested around 5 billion pounds ($1.8 million) on new technology thus equipping cabin crew and ground staff.
The iPads will offer real-time operational data, which allows pilots to plan efficient flight before departure, provide passengers with more accurate flight information, and access historic customer details to improve customised in–flight services to passengers based on their preferences.
