The extravagant shopping and entertainment venue in the Middle East, Dubai announced plans to build the world’s largest shopping mall. The biggest mall will be named as ‘Mall of the World’.
The new ‘city’ will host hundred hotels and five distinctive theme parks based on animals, cartoons, films and characters. Additionally, in collaboration with Universal Studios, the city has plans to set up a world-class family attraction making it one of the biggest in Middle East and African region. Further, the city will also have marine life park and water themed park hosting 16 million visitors.
These are part of the new ‘city’ development as a means of boosting tourism, enriching the cultural calendar and retail development. The investment costs 1.7 billion pounds thus expect over 80 million visitors to the biggest mall yearly and 35 million visitors to the enormous park. The first phase of the new ‘city’ project expects to complete by the year 2014. The new ‘city’ will be named after the emirate’s ruler – Mohammed bin Rashid City and located at Downtown Dubai.
