Celebrating Volunteer Awareness Week in a different way!

If you are in the kiwi island for a vacation, make sure to drop by the Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) for an entrance free museum round. As a celebration to Volunteer Awareness Week, MOTAT offers free entry during the month of June.

It’s a happy go lucky chance to all those museum buffs and lovers of all kinds of transport to engage in a free journey all around the museum. Hurry up get your cheap flights and make it here for a great experience.

While exploring and admiring, witness the great efforts and heaps of work of more than 300 volunteers put for restoration and maintenance of the entire museum collection. Not only that, converse with the museum volunteers to hear their enthusiasm, motivation to volunteerism and what other great projects they’ve been involved. It’s impressive and awe inspiring.

Those who are interested in anything that moves up in the sky – can pay a visit to the Aviation Display Hall. It also won a recent award for the remarkable design and breathtaking environment by New Zealand Architecture Award which showcases an amazing collection. Some of which includes Lancaster, Bomber, Mosquito, Tiger Moth and Skyhawk.

You can take your kids for a little bit of fun on the tram rides while the history lovers could completely assimilate in to the history of transportation in New Zealand starting from the early 1800s to modern day comfort and convenience.
