Border restrictions to be eased for Australia travel

Australia’s Covid -19 border closures have been further relaxed, making Australia Travel easier. They are ready to welcome skilful working people and a certain number of temporary visa holders without applying for an exemption from the 1st of December.

You can take advantage of the new rule if you are a vaccinated student or a worker. This is also applicable for humanitarian, working holidaymakers, and provisional family visa holders.

Also, the Australia borders are welcoming vaccinated citizens from Japan and South Korea with a valid Australian visa to enter their home country without quarantine.

For visitors under these categories, proof of vaccination status must be provided and negative Covid-19 PCR test results before within three days of departure. Travellers must follow the Quarantine requirements in both the state where they arrive and where they plan to travel.

This decision of reopening its borders has been taken forward by the Australian government after 18 months. Now, Australian citizens are allowed to re-enter the country after facing the world’s tightest border controls since March last year, including on its own citizens.

As the federal government relaxes their border policies, individual states get their chance to decide if they want to allow visitors from outside the country or other states. The states of Victoria and New South Wales allows vaccinated travellers to enter without having to quarantine. However, other states have shown more caution in reopening their borders until their own vaccination rates increase.
