Crashboat Beach
Lined with palm trees Crashboat Beach is ideal for spending a relaxing day soaking up the sun. The beach is framed by mountains and promises a stunning sunset for all romantics. There you may indulge in snorkelling, scuba diving, swimming, jet skiing and other water based activities.
Las Cascada Aquatic Theme Park
This is the largest water park in the Caribbean. The main feature is the extremely long Crazy River which offers fun rides. Enjoy the giant slides and wave pool while other family oriented fun activities guarantee to keep the kids and parents happy.
Punta Borinquen Lighthouse
Located at the old Ramey Air Force Base the vintage lighthouse is a great place to explore. Built in 1889 the building exudes traditional architectural styles that are well worth photographing. A unique feature there is that the lighthouse tower rises from the centre of the rectangular shaped lighthouse at the base.
Rafael Hernandez Monument
Visit the statue of Puerto Rico’s most loved and revered musical composer; world famous Rafael Hernandez – Marin. Born in 1892 the famous musician went on to perform across the globe and formed the well-known quartet Cuarteto Victoria.
Playa Rompes Olas
Located almost within the city centre of Aguadilla this rather quiet but popular beach faces the Atlantic Ocean. Ideal for spending a day at the beach it is well services with a bevy of restaurants and sunny beach cafes. The seafood at these eateries is excellent.
El Parterre
El Parterre is a small park located within Aguadilla; it is home to a natural spring that in olden days was a source of water for soldiers from Spain. The park was built in 1851 and the plaza encircles the Ojo de Agua; it is walking distance to the beach.
Speciality Wine Shop
Enhance your experience of the city by visiting the quaint shops. Tinto for instance is a speciality wine shop owned by a sommelier; you may take along your own food and have it with a glass of specialty wine. You can also try tasting a variety of wines for a minimum cost.
The Old Aguadilla Lighthouse Ruins
Also called the Las Ruinas the lighthouse ruins are made up of ancient walls set amidst gorgeous scenery. Do take along the cameras for stunning photos of the surroundings. Built by the Spanish in 1889 the structure was quite grand; it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1918 and since abandoned.
Aguadilla Farmers Market
Grab yourself some breakfast at this lovely farmers market. All local produce and colourful tropical produce are up for sale. On every Saturday by gate 5 in Ramey.
