Holidays To Cusco
It's Never Too Late To Book Your Holiday deals
Cusco is a city in south-eastern Peru. Cusco serves as the capital of the region and province of the same name. Cusco has long been a major tourist destination in Peru owing to it being the site of the historical capital of the Incan Empire. The city has been designated as a World Heritage Site, and is considered the historical capital of Peru. Holidays to Cusco are all about being in awe of the remains of the Incan Empire and its predecessors, the Killke culture, who are thought to have founded the city and its walled complex, known as the Saksaywaman. Building upon the original inhabitants’ work, the Incas built the city to its full glory, and until the Spanish sacked the city in the 16th Century, stealing all its gold and silver. To this day, Spanish cathedrals and architecture are dominant within the city, while only ruins of the once-great civilisation remain. Travel Center offers all inclusive holidays to Cusco, and makes sure yours is a memorable one. Get in touch with one of our experts today, and leave everything to us. Explore the Temple of the Sun
Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha is also known as the ‘Court of Gold’. This is due to the 700 gold plated walls that reflected light all around the court. Gold adorned every corner of the grand temple. Qoricancha is located just past Plaza de Armas.
The Cathedral
The Cathedral located within the Plaza de Armas is one of Cusco’s most iconic locations. Constructed in 1550 the building reflects Baroque style architecture. Within are world famous paintings showing the shattering earthquake that rocked Cusco in 1650.
