Holidays To Cusco

It's Never Too Late To Book Your Holiday deals

Cusco is a city in south-eastern Peru. Cusco serves as the capital of the region and province of the same name. Cusco has long been a major tourist destination in Peru owing to it being the site of the historical capital of the Incan Empire. The city has been designated as a World Heritage Site, and is considered the historical capital of Peru. Holidays to Cusco are all about being in awe of the remains of the Incan Empire and its predecessors, the Killke culture, who are thought to have founded the city and its walled complex, known as the Saksaywaman. Building upon the original inhabitants’ work, the Incas built the city to its full glory, and until the Spanish sacked the city in the 16th Century, stealing all its gold and silver. To this day, Spanish cathedrals and architecture are dominant within the city, while only ruins of the once-great civilisation remain.
