Ciudad Mitad del Mundo

A national landmark in Quito, Ciudad Mitad del Mundo features the Monument to the Equator that highlights the exact location of the equator. This iconic structure also comprises the Museo Etnográfico Mitad, a Museum that exhibits the indigenous ethnography of Ecuador. This monument has played a significant role in the development of the area’s geography.

Compañía de Jesús

One of the well-known Churches in Quito, this Church is known for its large central nave, which is decorated with a gold leaf, gilded plaster and wood carvings. Carolina Park

Basílica del Voto Nacional

Located at the historic center of Quito, this Basilica is the largest neo-Gothic basilica in the Americas. A climb to the towers of the Basilica will present breath-taking views of the city.

Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa

A multi-purpose stadium, Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa has a capacity of over 40,000. Located at an elevation of 2,782 meters, this Stadium offers spectacular views of its surroundings. Mostly used for football matches, the stadium has been the venue for some of the most memorable sporting feats ever achieved by Equadorians.


An inactive volcano, Ilalo is now a green fertile valley with a beautiful climate. The volcanic complex features a small caldera and a lava dome.
