Fountains of Bellagio
Did you ever imagine how entertaining watching water in the desert can be? In Las Vegas, the Fountains of Bellagio offer just that, one of the most entertaining sights you will ever see. At daytime the fountain spews water out every half hour according to a rhythm and sounds. Nightime is a much prettier show as lights are incorporated. Stratosphere Tower
The Stratosphere Tower stands hundreds of stories high up over the city of Vegas and also includes various thrill rides such as X-Scream, High Roller Coaster and Big Shot. Eiffel Tower at Paris
If you want to see the Eiffel Tower but don’t want to go all the way to Paris, you can find a scaled down version of the famous landmark at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. It is one of the most iconic attractions of the strip and you can even take a 460 elevator to the top for a breathtaking view of the city. It’s a perfect spot for a romantic night with your better half. The tower also consists of a restaurant.
King Tut Museum at Luxor
The Luxor Hotel and Casino is home to this fascinating museum that holds various exhibits relating to Egypt’s King Tut including a tomb that was discovered in the year 1922. The entire hotel has the same theme as the museum. One of the best times to visit here is during dinner when it does not have that much of a crowd.
Gondola Rides at Venetian
This re-created Grand Canal mirrors the one which is found in Venice and makes you feel as though you truly are all the way in Europe. The main activity here is of course the Gondola Rides which can be a very romantic activity for couples. A Gondola for two people only costs $60, compared to other attractions in the city this is quite affordable.
The Neon Museum
Las Vegas is known for its colorful lights, if you ever want to see where all these old neon signs end up pay a visit to The Neon Museum which was founded in 1966. The museum collects, preserves and displays iconic Las Vegas signs for educational and historic purposes. The museum has about two acres of these neon lights and also includes an outdoor area known as the Neon Boneyard.
The Mob Museum
This museum takes the visitor through America’s story of organized crime. It is perfectly located in Las Vegas as the city used to be an outpost of the Mafia. The museum is housed in a downtown building which used to be a federal courthouse. It consists of three floors displaying items that give a rounded view of this period in American history. Learn the true stories of mobsters such as Al Capone, Tony Spilotro and Whitey Bulger.
Las Vegas Monorail
If you are in Las Vegas make sure you experience this, the Las Vegas Monorail is a four minute ride that will probably be the best part of your trip to Vegas. A ride in the Monorail will give you a great view of many of the Vegas hotels including New York, New York, Luxor, Mandalay bay, Venetian, Las Vegas Hilton and the Bellagio. The Monorail cart is air conditioned and very comfortable.
