Bournemouth Beach

Seven miles of sandy beach attract a large number of visitors to Bournemouth Beach . Regarded as the best beach in the city; it sits to the east of the Jurassic Coast. As such you get a chance to delve into some history. Surfers will love Poole Bay.

Bournemouth Gardens

The upper and lower gardens of Bournemouth enjoy an elegant Victorian setting. The 2000 acres that the gardens are spread across are utterly gorgeous and ideal for relishing a day in the sun, Come summertime Boscombe Garden is a firm favourite.

The Opera House

Opened in 1895 the vintage opera house is steeped in history. In the past the theatre was well known for excellent shows and by the 1930’s and 40’s it was a famous music hall. David Bowie and Led Zeppelin are the more modern artists to grace the hall. Do take in a show there.

The Ocenarium

This fabulous Ocenarium was given an award in 2008. It is home to a varied species of animals due to a recreation of habitats from around the world. Within are environs representing the Amazon, Great Barrier Reef, Key West etc. There’s an interactive dive cage for a 360 degree view of the ocean floor. Enjoy sights of piranha, turtle and shark.

Russel-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum

The gallery is home to a fabulous collection of international standard art works. ‘The Collection’ is a display of unusual art collections while the Dedication to Sir Henry Irving is quite impressive.

Monkey World

Opened in 1987 this is one of Bournemouth’s most popular attractions. The monkey sanctuary is home to over 150 monkeys and offers a fun, interactive and educational tour for the whole family. Funds acquired help run the place while also funding the prevention of primate smuggling worldwide.

The Ski and Leisure Centre

Courses and private lessons depending on any skill level are on offer at the Ski Centre. You can try snowboarding as well as skiing and even book the place for a private party.


This is probably the best waterpark in all of South England. The indoor water park boasts 8 fabulous rides that are made up of exhilarating twists and turns that promise to give you quite the adrenaline rush. During summer the outside rides are all open and ideal for enjoying thrills and a dose of sunshine.

The Bournemouth Eye

The Bournemouth Eye is your chance to enjoy a bird’s eye view of the surroundings. Enjoy a height of 500ft offering one a stunning view across the city. You can in fact enjoy fabulous vistas of the city to distances of over 20 miles. Made up of a spherical like helium filled balloon the Eye is not for those whose dislike heights.
