Sedir Island
Also familiar as Cleopatra Island, it’s a tiny island in the Gulf of Gökova of southwestern Aegean Sea off the shore of Ula, section of Mu?la Territory of Turkey. It is popular for its beach created from seashells. The natural sand was carried by ships from the Red Sea mainly for Cleopatra.
Kaunos
Kaunos was a major marine harbor, the past of which is assumed to go back till the 10th century BC. The most ancient discovery at the Kaunos archeological site is the neck of a Protogeometric amphora going back to the 9th century BC.
Marmaris Castle & Museum
Marmaris' mountaintop palace (1522) was Süleyman the Magnificent's gathering site for 200,000 forces, utilised to catch Hospitaller-held Rhodes. The castle accommodates the tiny Marmaris Museum, which displays amphorae, gravestones, sculptures, oil lamps and other discoveries, plus from Knidos and Datça. Hierapolis-Pamukkale
Originating from springs in a mountain nearly 200 m tall overlooking the savannah, calcite-full waters have generated at Pamukkale (Cotton Palace) a mythical terrain, consisting of inanimate jungles, struck waterfalls and a chain of plateaued valleys. The kings of Pergamon, founded the thermal spa of Hierapolis. Remains of the baths, and Greek memorials could still be viewed.
Iztuzu Beach
A small spit of terrain, creating a real fence amid the fresh water inlet of the Dalyan river and the Mediterranean. It takes a relaxed 20 mins across the reed beds to arrive there and the sights of the rock tombs are exceptional. You could frequently view turtles swimming next-to the boat as well.
Lake Köyce?iz
