The Tonhalle

Built in 1895, the Tonhalle is a well-known concert hall that has excellent acoustics. It can seat 1455 guests and today the Orchestra of the Tonhalle is one of Europe’s leading ensembles. It has around 100 experienced musicians and a dedicated conductor. When you visit Zurich be sure to take in the Tonhalle.

Paradeplatz

The Paradeplatz is the heart of Bahnhofstrasse, called "Säumärt" (pig market) in the 17th century. This is because there was a livestock market that took place there. In the 19th century the name was changed to ‘Neumarkt” or New Market as business became more upscale. Today it is known as Paradeplatz and is an important tram junction near Lake Zurich and is considered the largest financial transaction hub in the country.

Zurich Opera House

This is one of the best known opera houses in the world and was in 2014 awarded the Best Opera Company of the Year at the International Opera Awards. It is also one of the largest in the world with about an 1100 seating capacity. Annually the Zurich Opera Houses has about 250 performances.

Zoo Zurich

The Zurich Zoo is a wonderful place to visit with a variety of attractions to keep everyone enthralled. Gaze at the snow leopards in their Himalayan landscape setting, giant tortoises and Andean bears in their mountain cloud forest. Visitors can also see flying foxes, elephants and butterflies when they enter this magical zoo.

This is a beautiful and popular walking path near Lake Zurich. Limmatquai

This interesting location takes you on a journey through Zurich’s old town, along the river after which it was named, Limmat and then towards Central.
