Haltia – The Finnish Nature Center

This museum brings the best of the Finnish wilderness together under one roof. Acting as a gateway to Finland’s national parks, it treats its visitors to the pleasures of nature through all five senses. The main exhibition includes an enthralling visualization of Finnish nature. A perfect place to visit for nature lovers.

Serena Water Park

It is the largest indoor waterpark in Scandanavia and is well known for its street ski track. Apart from the main water park and ski track it also offers cottages for accomodation, restaurants and other adventure activities such as Abseiling, Gorge crossing and Cable slide for both large and small groups.

Glims Farmstead Musuem

A branch of the Espoo city museum, this museum exhibits items relating to farming culture and rural life in the past centuries. In the beginning of the 20th century it was still an active farm and became a museum in 1958. It has 11 original buildings most from the 19th century along with older ones from the 18th century.

Finnish Toy Musuem

This museum hosts a collection of toys from the 20th century upto present day. It is dedicated to the culture of games and play and has a history of Finnish toys and Special exhibitions. Also a feature of this museum is the Loylymaki Station which was the winner of several international miniature railway competitions.

Bodom Lake

Located on the north suburbs of Espoo, this lake is best for fishing and picnics. 3km in length and 1km in width, there is a path alongside the lake which is perfect for walks and the lake is even suitable for a swim. The shore of the lake is also good for camping.

Espoo Car Musuem

The Espoo Car Musuem has an exhibition of 100 cars as well as two wheeled vehicles like bicycles and motorcycles. It is one of the largest motor vehicle musuems in Finland and lets you experience a piece of Finnish automotive culture. The museum also holds special events for the public such as a Mother’s Day swap market and a moped ride through Espoo during the summer.

Tarvaspaa – The Gallen Kallela Musuem

This museum was designed and built by Finland’s national artist Akseli Gallen Kallela in 1911 and was used as his home and studio. It now functions as a museum which is open to the public. The items in the museum include posters, drawings, graphics, posters, photographs and some of Gallen Kallela’s personal effects and documents.

Espoo Musuem of Modern Art

EMMA is the largest museum in Finland with a main focus on Finnish artists but it also hosts international exhibitions. It is a modern art museum that exhibits interactive pieces as well as paintings and sculptures. It is located in a former printing house that now houses five different musuems.

Helina Rautavaara Musuem

Named after the woman who collected the items on display and donated them as exhibits, this museum is dedicated to non-european cultures. There are more than 2500 items on display from places around the world such as Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. The items include utensils, ritual objects and art from these regions.

The Finnish Musuem of Horology

This museum is all about time. It’s exhibits include various timepieces and the history of measuring time. Different kinds of clocks, watches and artifacts are among the thousands of items on display. Both rare and everyday watches can be seen here.
