It's Never Too Late To Book Your Holiday deals

Salzburg, the native land of Mozart, is a city in mid Austria, next-to the German (Bavarian) perimeter with occupants of around 150,000 back in 2013. If you have watched the film The Sound of Music, you might think you know all there is to view in Salzburg. Actually, it is hard not to impulsively burst into song when you're strolling down the Salzach River, or ascending up to the Hohensalzburg castle which emerges above the city. But there is a lot more to this small, refined city than Julie Andrews. Salzburg is the fourth-biggest city in Austria (following Vienna, Graz and Linz) and the metropolis of the allied state of Salzburg. Its "Old Town", with its world popular ornate structure, is one of the best-conserved city hubs in the German-speaking world and was recorded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The title Salzburg precisely means "Salt Fortress", and obtains its title from the canal boats transporting salt on the Salzach river, which were subject to a charge in the 8th century.
