Auckland War Memorial Museum

Located on Auckland Domain the museum is within a 1929 Neo-classical building. The Main Maori Gallery houses treasures from early Polynesian settlers dating back to 12th and 14th centuries. Highlight is the 23m long canoe from 1836 which brought Maori warriors to Manukau.

One Tree Hill

One Tree Hill is a volcanic cone that symbolises the city. The 182m high hill is located within the verdant environs of beautiful Cornwall Park; surrounded by flower beds and tall trees. Sitting within the southwestern quarter of Cornwall the hill is next to the remnants of a Maori village.

Waiheke Island
