Pasikudah is a coastal resort town in Eastern Sri Lanka. Although the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami left the area devastated, and the Sri Lankan separatist war made the area unsafe in the past, it has shown positive signs of recovery. It is possible for one to wade far into the ocean – in some places, even kilometres – for a unique experience. Watching a sunrise on Pasikudah beach is one of the best sights in the country.
