Darjeeling Himalayan Railway
The most popular appeal around, also noted as the ‘Toy Train’. It’s a narrow gauge rail that is 2feet in breadth and passes amid Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri and was constructed in the years among 1879 and 1881. In 1999, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway was proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Singalila National Park

Observatory Hill
Situated near Chowrarasta quad, this is a popular vantage point and tourist appeal in Darjeeling. The site is popular for its splendid sights of Kanchendzonga and the historic temple committed to Mahakaal or Lord Shiva.
Batasia Loop
Popular for containing a Gorkha war monument and while in the toy train you could see a 360 degrees’ sight of Darjeeling. The loop envelopes a region of 50,000 square feet and crosses circularly into burrows, cultivated parks and mounds in this 1,000 feet high slope. The local craft fair is also worth a visit.
Happy Valley Tea Estate
Strewn over a huge region of 437-acres, the site is situated among some of the most spectacular environments in India. It also contains one of the tallest tea factory in the world and was set in 1854 by an Englishman and was later possessed by an Indian noble from Hoogly.
Joey’s Pub
An English style pub constructed in 1948 and is a one of the major appeals for the tourists in India. Make sure you tour the pub for some mid-ranged drinks and snacks with some light classic-rock and blues running in the background.
Japanese Peace Pagoda
Constructed between 1885-1985 by a Japanese Buddhist monk Nichidatsu Fuji, this is a portion of 30 such constructions around the world. The Buddhist temple is situated among some really tempting sites and is constructed in a stunning white construction with golden colored carvings. The construction is 23 sq. meters broad and 28.5 meters tall.
Neora Valley National Park
Strewn over a huge 88 square kilometers, it’s one of the wealthiest biological sectors in the north-east. Popular for containing one of the biggest inhabitants of Red Panda in India. The park was set in 1986 and is a residence to many threatened and uncommon types of vegetation and animals.
