La Paz<\/a><\/strong> is the third largest city in Bolivia and its administrative capital. Situated at an elevation of 3,650m (11,975 feet), it is the world\u2019s highest seat of government. La Paz has more government department than the capital Sucre. The city is located in a bowl surrounded by high mountains and is, therefore, an attractive city. La Paz was founded in 1548 by Spanish Conquistadors, who named it Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de La Paz, which is still the official full-form name of the city. La Paz\u2019s long history lends the city several historical sites and museums to exhibit the cultural and historical heritage of the city.
