Here, we look into the freshest advice and how the outbreak could influence your travels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#000000\"><strong>Is it harmless to visit France?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">The French government outlined new measures on 14th March to delay the\nspread of coronavirus. This includes the closure of all non-essential\nestablishments open to the public until further notice (i.e. restaurants,\ncafes, cinemas). Food shops, pharmacies, banks and petrol stations will stay\nopen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities have placed the closure of all non-essential services, shops, bars and restaurants including the country&#8217;s ski resorts.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#000000\"><strong>Have all ski resorts closed?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">On 15th March, in reply to the government&#8217;s actions, the National Union for Ski Regions and the National Association for Mayors in Regions with Ski Resorts stated that all ski resorts in France would close with immediate effect until further notice.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#000000\"><strong>What to do if I have booked flights to France?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">There is not yet sign of airlines bulk cutting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelcenter.uk\/flights\/europe\/france\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"flights to France (opens in a new tab)\"><strong><span style=\"color:#0693e3\" class=\"tadv-color\">flights to France<\/span><\/strong><\/a>. Nevertheless, carriers including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelcenter.uk\/airlines\/british-airways\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"British Airways (opens in a new tab)\"><strong><span style=\"color:#0693e3\" class=\"tadv-color\">British Airways<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, Ryanair and EasyJet have signalled they plan to lessen their schedule over the following weeks and months in reply to the dropping market.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">Ryanair has said it could decrease its capacity by up to 80 per cent over April and May. BA, too, has said it could cut its schedule by 75 per cent, while EasyJet has announced it could ground its fleet on a rolling basis.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#000000\"><strong>Air France has said it could decrease its activity by up to 90 per cent across the next two months. How will the lockdown in France be?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">The Foreign Office has given more details on the criteria introduced by the French authorities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">The rules set out on the French administration website (in French) include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"tadv-color\">The closure of all schools, cr\u00e8ches and universities with effect from Monday 16th March until further notice.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"tadv-color\">Prohibiting gatherings of more than 100 people<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Further instructions are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"tadv-color\">People over 70 years of age and those with existing health conditions to remain at home<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"tadv-color\">To avoid visiting the weak and instead stay in touch remotely.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"tadv-color\">To work from home where practicable.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"tadv-color\">To have a minimum distance of one metre from others as much as possible.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-text-color has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">The French government advises those with possible coronavirus symptoms\nto call 112.
