In November 2012, SilkAir finalized and announced an order of 23 Boeing 737-800 aircrafts and 31 737 MAX 8s. Thus, also makes it the largest recording order in the airline\u2019s history. At present, the airline flies more than 300 weekly flights across 42 destinations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Boeing and SilkAir, regional wing of Singapore Airline, has penned a five-year special pilot training program. This agreement has become the first step towards the transition of SilkAir\u2019s fleet to Boeing airplanes.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the agreement, the forecast highlight from the 2012 Boeing Pilot & Technician Outlook, it demands 185,000 new commercial airline pilots and 243,500 new technicians in the<\/span> Asia<\/strong><\/a><\/span> Pacific region.
