The court has given a three-day statutory period within which it shall decide on the opening of bankruptcy proceedings <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#000000\">The company also announced that it will cancel all scheduled flights due to initiation of bankruptcy proceedings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#000000\">So far Adria has cancelled more than <a>400 flights,<\/a> with the decision affecting more than 15,000 passengers, according to Reuters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#000000\">Last week, Slovenia&#8217;s Civil Aviation Agency have given Adria seven days to present a financial restructuring plan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#000000\">Slovenia&#8217;s Civil Aviation Agency also stated that Adria&#8217;s licence had been cancelled and that all airline planes had been grounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#000000\">For the few days the Adria Airways had been \u201cintensively searching solutions\u201d to its severe financial problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#000000\">Slovenia&#8217;s Economy Minister Zdravko Pocivalsek officially stated that Adria&#8217;s losses were higher than he anticipated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#000000\">He also said that Slovenia might set up a new national carrier in the wake of Adria&#8217;s demise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-center is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span class=\"tadv-color\" style=\"color:#000000\">\u201cSlovenia\u2019s government intends to launch a new airline in future to improve the country\u2019s international connections.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#000000\">Its alliance partner Lufthansa had been operating flights between the Slovenian capital Ljubljana and its hub in Frankfurt.
